Ingredients

  • - 300 grams of flour 00
  • - 100 g butter
  • - 1 egg
  • - 80 grams of sugar
  • - One and a half tablespoons of dried lavender flowers
  • - 1 teaspoon of baking powder
  • - A pinch of salt
  • - Milk if necessary
  • - Sugar cane to decorate (optional)

Procedure:

Mix the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Form a fountain and in the center add the egg and butter chopped. Add the lavender flowers. Knead quickly enough and if necessary, add a little milk to soften the crust. Form a ball and wrap it. Let the dough rest in refrigerator for at least half an hour. In this way you are able to obtain a pastry easier to work with and at the same time crumbly. After the interval of rest, roll out the dough with a rolling pin to the thickness of approximately 4mm. By serving a biscuit cutter cut out your cookies and sprinkle to taste with sugar cane. If you like, add a pinch of salt for each cookie, the contrast sweet / salty will be a pleasant surprise for your guests. Bake in preheated oven at 180 degrees for 15-20 minutes. Remember to refrigerate the bottle of sweet wine and when the cookies are cooled enjoy this relaxing break all French. Bon appétit!
