Recipe Mardi Gras fritters in the oven.

It’s high time to forget the worries and spend a few days lightly. Not only parades and Carnival costumes but also you can have fun in the kitchen and experience the thrill of Mardi Gras fritters preparing them for friends and family, thanks to Forni David.

Ingredients:

  • - 150 gr of flour
  • - 1 big egg
  • - 20 gr of butter
  • - ½ spoon of sugar
  • - 1 lemon
  • - Icing sugar
  • - Brandy

Preparation

Mound the flour and in the centre broke the egg, add the softened butter in small pieces, a pinch of salt, brandy, sugar and lemon zest.

Knead the dough until it is firm and elastic, cover and let it rest for half an hour. On a floured surface roll out all the dough with a rolling pin: you have to get a puff pastry 1 millimetre high. Cut the dough into rectangles using a toothed wheel, about 6x10 centimetres and make some incisions on the inside.

Finally, bake at 200° for few minutes the “chiacchere” disposed on the baking sheet and covered with baking paper.

After all, sprinkle with the tasting sugar: Mardi Gras fritters are ready!
