Mandarins Pie

To not give up the pleasure of a good cake, but at the same time light and savour one with season fruits, Forni DAVID has chosen to tell you a fragrant and fresh recipe: mandarins pie. Light and fragrant, will satisfy the palate without weigh you down. Each piece tells the aroma of this period, perfect to be used in purity as well as the main ingredient of cakes and sweet breads. Ingredients

  • - 10 mandarins
  • - 250 ml of juice of mandarins
  • - Cinnamon
  • - Grated rind of mandarins
  • - 200g flour
  • - 4 tablespoons sugar
  • - 150g of sugar
  • - 2 eggs
  • - 100 ml of oil
  • - 1 package yeast
  • - Powdered sugar to decorate according to taste

Procedure:

    Wash mandarins and grate the zest of three, while the other juice. Keep aside a few cloves that you set later in the dough. Mix the cinnamon with the mandarins juice doing so it melts well. Beat the egg yolks with the sugar for 10 minutes to obtain a thick and fluffy , add the flour to this that you have previously mixed with the peel mandarins. Then pour the juice of mandarins with cinnamon, oil and finally stir in the yeast. Take the slices of mandarin and pass them lightly in flour. This operation, in fact, allow the fruit does not fall down during cooking. Pour the mixture into a mold of 24 cm greased and floured previously recline the cloves. Bake the cake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees for about 40 minutes. Let it cool and serve the cake sprinkled with powdered sugar if you enjoy it.
